Knights of Columbus RaffleWe are supporting the annual Knights of Columbus raffle. Austin benefits hugely from this event. The rest supports the Knights charitable activities. Raffle books sell for $15.00 per book. Please try to sell at least one book. Your support is needed. If you need additional books please give Mrs. Klein a call at (773) 478-6945. The books are due back by Thursday, August 12. The prize drawing is held on Sunday, August 29.
Walkathon & PicnicThe Walkathon is coming up! Mark your calendars for sunday,, August 1, 2010. Your support is needed. . .. so please get your relatives, friends, neighbors, and co-workers,to make a pledge of donation in support of this event which benefits Austin Special. Walkathon Schedule

July ClosingsJuly 5th, Monday: The Work Center will be closed in observance of the 4th of July holiday. No clients will be in attendance. July 12th, Monday: The Work Center will closed for staff training. No clients will be in attendance.
July Field TripFriday, July 2nd is Movie and Cookout Day! We will be going to see the Movie Toy-Story 3 and then back to the Work Center for a pre-4th of July cookout/luncheon. The list for this "popping" field trip is $8.00 Please have your money in by Thursday, July 1st.
Plant Sale Earns $1,462Austin Special earned 41,462 from this year's plant sale. Hope your gardens are up and blooming.
Pancake Breakfast Big SuccessAustin's annual pancake breakfast was a great success. Along with the general raffle and bake sale, the agency earned a total of $10,144. Your donation/financial report is needed more than ever. Payments from the Illinois State Department of Human Services are more than five months behind. Your support is needed to keep our doors open!

Mandatory Meeting, Friday, June 25, 2010There will be a mandatory meeting for parents on Friday June 25. All are requested to attend. This will be a time to ask questions and hear updates.
